(excerpt from the text)

Post-painting sculpture

Kinga Nowak builds cardboard quasi-models of theatre set design. Her small-scale objects manifest the style of the avant-garde form before or immediately after the war, the Cricot Theatre and the Cracow Group. Sharp colours, geometrical but distorted forms imbue her works with a disturbing atmosphere. Its source is the tension between saturated colours and almost imperceptible shifts in proportions.
